Liverpool News

Liverpool are believed to be on the verge of completing a £28.4million deal for Hoffenheim’s Brazilian international Roberto Firmino.
According to reports from telegraph.co.uk, Liverpool Chief Executive Ian Ayre has flown to meet Firmino, who is currently competing with Brazil at the Copa America in Chile, in order to complete the deal.
Firmino was yesterday quoted as saying: “My future is in the hands of God. It’s time to make the next step in my career but at the moment I’m concentrating on the Copa America.”
It is understood Firmino will require a work permit to join the Reds, while rumours are also circulating there may be issues relating to third-party ownership.
However, with talks reportedly at an advanced stage, the versatile attacker is expected to become the second most expensive signing in Liverpool history, behind only the £35m the Reds spent to bring Andy Carroll to Anfield in 2011.
