Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo has been offered to clubs across Europe for £24 million, days after completing his permanent move to the La Liga side from Manchester City. What’s more, among the teams to which he’s been offered are Premier League outfit Liverpool, who will be keen to add more striking options this summer. Champions League runners-up Juventus are set to pip a whole host of Premier League sides to the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan international who is currently on duty for his country at the Copa America, has struggled to make the impact he would have wanted to for the French giants since arriving from Napoli in 2013. The 28-year-old did, though, manage to score 18 goals last season, helping the team to another Ligue 1 title. (Daily Star)

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is making Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin his number one midfield target this summer. The Frenchman was one of the stand-out performers for the Saints last season, helping the club qualify for the Europa League. Despite playing a deeper midfield role for most of the campaign, Schneiderlin still managed to find the net four times and averaged an impressive pass accuracy of 89%. (Manchester Evening News)
Manchester City will make an improved offer of £40 million for wantaway Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling in the next 48 hours. The 20-year-old was subject to a £25m bid from the Etihad outfit on Thursday, which was duly rejected by the Reds. Sterling was one of Brendan Rodgers’ side’s better performers last campaign in an otherwise under-par season. Sterling grabbed seven goals and seven assists and also created more chances than any other Liverpool player (75). (Mirror)

Manchester United have been cleared to complete the signing of Benfica’s No.10, Nicolas Gaitan, this summer following the Portuguese side’s recent purchase of Adel Taarabt from Queens Park Rangers. Louis van Gaal, who has already completed the signing of Memphis Depay, is looking to add more attacking impetus this summer. Gaitan was one of Benfica’s star men last season, the Argetine scored four goals for Jorge Jesus’ side who went on to win the Portuguese Liga. (Metro)

United have also informed third parties that they are keen on bringing Tottenham striker Harry Kane to Old Trafford this summer and have made their interest known to Spurs. The 21-year-old was exceptional in the Premier League last season, scoring 21 times in 34 appearances. Louis van Gaal wants to add striking reinforcements following his decision to not make Radamel Falcao’s loan deal permanent and Robin van Persie’s uncertain future. (The Times)

Michah Richards will become an Aston Villa player next week after being released by Manchester City. The 26-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Italian side Fiorentina where he failed to make a big impression.
